Miguel moved to the UK in 2014 and start working at FEVACA. FEVACA is a company specializing in providing support to children, young people, and vulnerable adults, that currently have three different services which support young people in the care system, transitioning through, from residential children’s home, through supported accommodation, and in the community.

Miguel started as a House/Team Manager, managing a 16+ supported accommodation project in Ipswich (Suffolk). With the growth of the company, in 2018 he became Service Manager for the Supported Accommodation service, responsible for the creation of FEVACA’s Buckinghamshire projects.

In 2019, Miguel became responsible for the Residential Children’s Home service, acting as Responsible Individual for the company Children’s Home, and opened two more Children’s Homes.

Following a managerial restructure in the company, Miguel assume the position of Operational Service Manager with the overarching responsibility for the Residential Children’s Homes and the 16+ Supported Accommodation services.

MAIN TASKS / ACHIEVEMENTS

• Currently leading the implementation of the new Ofsted Supported Accommodation Regulations
• Developed the Residential Children’s Home Service from one residential setting to three settings, all rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted
• Responsible for the creation of the internal Training Programme
• Internal Trainer in several subjects, including Safeguarding, Ofsted Regulations, and Theoretical Approaches
