[008.19] March 19th in Portugal

The first time I “published” this, or part of its lyrics, was in my masters degree dissertation. The last part (the one I used) means something like this…

If I were a composer
I would compose in your honour
A triumphant hymn

If I were an art critic
I would have to declare you
A worldwide masterpiece

But I’m just a vulgar man.
Who had the good fortune to savour
Your uncertain step
And paradise in your eyes.

[007.19] Knife Crime

OFSTED published, earlier last week, the findings and recommendations of a research carried out in London schools about “Knife crime: safeguarding children and young people in education“. It is not (and doesn’t intend to be) a document with guidelines about what must be done, but a document with several interesting findings and recommendations that might be adopted by schools around the UK, and that bring some more topics for the (more than) necessary debate about knife crime.
